I’m going to the University of Cincinnati to study Games and Animation. I’d prefer to be self-taught, but my parents don’t see a future for me without college. I don’t really know what to expect other then I’ll definitely find like-minded people there with the same interests as me, so that’s one good thing about college. I’m going to an open house sometime in April and learn more about the college there. I’m only really worried about student loans/financial aid. I’ve only applied for one scholarship for $500. So not so great there haha.

Before I have to head to college though, I’m planning on spending my summer just studying nothing but art, game dev, and financial skills. I found an online curriculum by an artist named Alex Huneycutt called Curriculum for the Solo Artist. It takes thousands of art tutorials and courses all over the internet and compiles them into a concise learning path for independent study. This is a godsend for someone like me who tends to do better with structured learning. I’m also going to use Khan Academy to teach myself Financial Literacy. I had a class for that in my freshman year of high school, but I don’t really remember anything from it lol.

That’s basically all my plans post-high. Hopefully things go the way I want them to!

or probably not who knows heh
